Avanti West Coast: January – May

Avanti West Coast services were be affected by industrial action every Sunday from 12 January to 23 February 2025. The action was coordinated by the RMT union, which was in dispute with the company over train managers' rest day working arrangements.

Strike action was due to continue until 25 May 2025, but it was called off on 13 March 2025 following a successful vote by members. The measures for train managers include increased minimum shift payments and pay rates, plus backdated enhanced rest day working payments, among other arrangements.

Avanti West Coast will resume its normal service on Sundays. Its regular Sunday timetable is in place and tickets are now on sale.
